We are excited to hear that we have been successful in receiving a 2023 CommBank Staff Foundation Community Grant. This $10,000 grant will help support the vital work we do in the community.

Wednesday 22nd November: Today Greg and I (Kath) went to the CBA in Merimbula to receive and recognise the recent CBA Staff Foundation grant that SPAN was recently awarded. Staff at the CBA contribute money from their wages into the Foundation. Members then nominate local community groups to receive a grant. If successfully nominated the group then completes a submission which may or may not be successful. SPAN is grateful to our local branch for the nomination and the funds will be used to have a SPAN member become an accredited Mental Health First Aid Australia instructor in adult mental health.
Thank you to Brooke (manager) and Mel (who nominated SPAN) for the funds which will help improve the effectiveness of suicide prevention in our region.
